Students at Holbrook School are making great progress on the Community Mosaic! They worked hard to nip tiles for letters, they transferred the design to the substrate, they arranged the positive words about the school, they worked on the tree trunk, and they arranged and taped the border in place! All in 1 hour! I love seeing the color scheme they chose for the border, and the bright colors really make this project pop! I have a little homework for next time, I will finish any remaining letters, and will glue the border, letters, and word tiles. Next glass they will all learn to cut sheet glass. They will cut a leaf or two for the tree, as well as small shapes for the remainder of the foliage. If time permits, they can even try cutting small red circles, making the tree an apple tree!
